Steve Jobs’ head carved in mozzarella

A Mac (and cheese) fan in American has paid homage in fromage to Apple founder Steve Jobs, carving a surprisingly lifelike representation of the gadget guru out of soft Italian cheese. jobshead

Ken Aversano, a poster at the Cooks’ Den food blog and self-confessed “foodie with time on his hands”, used two large blocks of mozarella to create Jobs’ craggy features, adding ground black pepper for his trademark close cropped hair and designer stubble.

“I figured that cheese was a great medium for food carving, and would go well with many a tasty meal,” Ken writes.

“Mozzarella has the right consistence, is pliable when melted slightly, and its pasty-white colour matches the skin tone of many a computer geek like Steve and myself.”

Offering a full recipe and detailed photographic instructions on how to build your own Steve Jobs cheese head, Ken adds: “Steve’s piercing gaze and strong personality make him a natural choice for bold food pairings.”
