An ancient cream cheese has been brought back from extinction 20 years after it was last manufactured commercially.
Colwick, a cows’ milk cheese described as soft and curdy, has been revived by a farm in the UK after a food historian discovered an old book containing the recipe, the BBC reports.
The cheese originally dates back to the 17th century but fell out of favour in recent times due to its relatively short shelf life. It was last sold in 1993.
